Blahrtok

Man...I don't want to write a trumpet part. Why haven't we had a trombone this quarter??

I know! As a tuba player, I feel horrible saying this, but I think a trombone would be more useful here than a tuba. What can you really do with trumpet, horn, & tuba? Not much . . . .

trombone woulda ruled. but i think everybody did really well anyway. and i, too, refrained from turning my brooding bartokian pity party into corny coplandian fanfare and opted out of writing a trumpet piece. but i didn't want him to feel left out so i printed him a part with 23 bars of whole-note rests.

what class are you guys taking next quarter? i'm prolly taking a cheap(er) one.

Something was seriously off with his metronome. My 1:10 piece is 1:51!!! I wrote a lot of whole notes for the breathers. I'm glad they were still able to play.

Dave - I think I'll be taking Orch II. I'd like to take Film Scoring III but think I'd do better in it having Orch II under my belt.

Hi Dave,

I also wanted to take advanced orchestration, but couldn't make things fit (there are rules for international students), so I'm taking film scoring 3, videogames and synthestration again (they switched the teacher, and he wrote a different course description which sounds great). Also attending Survival Guide, which is only for one weekend.

I'm taking Film III (fingers crossed we score to picture!), videogames, and survival guide-- Renata, did you see they've changed the schedule, and it's 3 Saturdays for a few hours instead of one weekend?
